Is There a Margin?
PDF Print E-mail

Have you ever noticed the blank space around the written area on a sheet of paper? In case you forgot from your school days, it’s called the margin. It’s meant to serve as a buffer to provide room beyond what is needed.
As important as a margin is on paper, it’s even more important in your daily life.

Instead of running yourself ragged each day, try scheduling in time for nothing other than tranquility. Start by simply adding a little extra time before and after your appointments so you’re never too rushed during your day. This leaves you time to process and ponder why you do what you do.

From there, you may want to actually schedule time for yourself. By literally blocking out time on your calendar, you’ll learn to give yourself permission to just be instead of always doing.

It’s incredible to see the impact those few extra minutes of breathing room can have in your schedule. Keep it up, and you’ll find it’s a habit that will benefit both you and your family in the long run.
